one-third of (x + y) = 60
x + y = 180------(I)
one-quarter of (x - y) = 28
x - y = 112------(II)
From (II),
x = 112 + y
Putting value of x in (I),
112 + y + y = 180
2y = 68
y = 34
Therefore x = 146

sum of 2 angles = 3 × 60 = 180
their difference = 28 × 4 = 112
suppose 1st angle = A and 2nd angle =B
A + B = 180
A - B =112
2A =292
A = 146
B = 180-146=34
