Question :

One truck having a mass of 975kg is initially at rest. In 20 seconds, the truck attains the velocity of 40m/s. Calculate the amount of net force acting on the truck.

Given :

Mass of the truck, m = 975 kg

Time taken, t = 20s

Initial velocity, u = 0m/s

Final velocity, v = 40m/s

To find :

Force acting on the truck.

Solution :

 acceleration \:  =  \:  \dfrac{v \:  -  \: u}{t}

 \implies  \dfrac {40 \: - \: 0}{20}

 \implies  \dfrac {40}{20}

 \implies  \bold {2}m/s^2

Now,

Force =  \boxed {mass \: × \: acceleration}

 \implies 975 × 2

 \implies 1950N

Hope it helps you!
