1. When Given Numbers have same Denominator:

In this case, we define (a/b + c/b) = (a + c)/b

For example:

(i) Add 3/7 and 56/7

Solution:

3/7 + 56/7

= (3 + 56)/7

= 59/7, [Since, 3 + 56 = 5 9]

Therefore, 3/7 + 56/7 = 59/7
