Answer:

The earning of Khalid per month in winter is Rs 37.50

The earning of Ashraf per month in winter is Rs 40  .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

Initial earning of Khalid and Ashraf per month = Rs 77.50

In summer Khalid lost one fifteenth customer

Ashraf lost one tenth customer

Final earning in summer = Rs 71

Let The earning of khalid per month= Rs K

Let The earning of Ashraf per month = Rs A

According to question

∵ Initial earning of Khalid and Ashraf per month = Rs 77.50

i.e K + A = Rs 77.50             ..........1

Again

Khalid lost one fifteenth customer and Ashraf lost one tenth customer

So, (K - \dfrac{K}{15}) + (A - \dfrac{A}{10}) = Rs 71

i.e \dfrac{14K}{15} + \dfrac{9A}{10} = Rs 71

Or, \dfrac{140K + 135A}{150} = Rs 71

Or, 140 K + 135 A = Rs 10650          ..........2

Now, Solving eq 1 and eq 2

( 140 K + 135 A ) - 135 × (K + A) = 10650 - 135 × 77.50

Or, ( 140 K - 135 K ) + ( 135 A - 135 A ) = 10650 - 10462.5

Or, 5 K + 0 = 187.5

∴  K = \dfrac{187.5}{5}

i.e K = 37.5

So, The earning of khalid per month = K = Rs 37.50

Put the value of k in eq 1

∵ K + A = Rs 77.50

So, A = Rs 77.50 - Rs 37.50

i.e A = Rs 40

So, The earning of Ashraf per month = A = Rs 40

Hence, The earning of Khalid per month in winter is Rs 37.50

and The earning of Ashraf per month in winter is Rs 40  . Answer
