Answer :-

26 Years (Option C).

Explanation :-

Let,

  • Age of A, one year ago = 5x.
  • Age of B, one year ago = 6x.

So,

  • Present Age of A = 5x + 1.
  • Present Age of B = 6x + 1.

According to the Question,

⇒ (5x + 1 + 4)/(6x + 1 + 4) = 6/7.

⇒ (5x + 5)/(6x + 5) = 6/7.

⇒ 7(5x + 5) = 6(6x + 5).

⇒ 35x + 35 = 36x + 30.

⇒ 35x - 36x = 30 - 35.

⇒ -x = -5.

x = 5.

So,

  • Present Age of A = 5x + 1 = 26 Years.
  • Present Age of B = 6x + 1 = 31 Years.

We have to find Age of A.

Therefore, Age of A = 26 Years.
