Answer:

Given,

Ratio of Laxman and Gopal Salary= 3:4

Ratio of  last year and present year salary =2:3

Let salary be 2y and 3y respectively.

(4x + 2y)         3

-------------  =  ------

(5x + 3y)         4

solving it we can get x=y.

Also, acc to ques, 5x + 3y = 4290.

Since x=y; 5x + 3x = 4290

8x = 4290

x = 536.25.

Now,

Laxman's past salary = 4 x 536.25 = 2145

Laxman's present salary = 5 x 536.25 = 2681.25

Gopal's past salary = 2 x 536.25 = 1072.5

Gopal's present salary = 3 x 536.25 = 1608.75

Their total present salary = 2681.25 + 1608.75 = 4290.
