Answer:

given that,

f(x)=x2+kx+42.

if x=7 is the zero of the given polynomial f(x), then f(7)=0.

ie,

=> (7)^2+7k+42=0

=> 49+7k+42=0

=> 91+7k=0

=> 7k=-91

=> k=-91/7

=> k=-13

I hope it would help you

thank you

Answer:

if 7 is a zero of f(x)

then f(7)=0

7²+7k+42=0

49+42+7k=0

91+7k=0

7k=-91

k=-13 answer
