Despite the unprecedented events that led to the need for students to conclude the spring 2020 semester via distance learning approaches, this study found that students were still motivated to learn and to complete their assessments and assignments on time. Considering that the abrupt and unforeseen changes also had an impact on faculty teaching, motivation and preparation, student recommendations for leadership and faculty to take certain measures to make their distance learning better going forward, were documented and will provide evidence for changes in the future.
