Given

  • Area of triangle = 12 cm²
  • Base,b = 8 cm

To find out

Find the perimeter of the triangle.

Solutions

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

12 cm² =1/2 × 8 × h

12 cm² = 4h

h = 12/4

h = 3

By pythagoras therome

h²= b² + p²

h²= 3² + 4²

h²= 9 + 16

h= root under 25

h= 5

Now,

ABC=AB+BC+CA

=5+8+5

= 18 cm

Given :

Isosceles triangle whose

  • Area = 12 cm²
  • Base = 8 cm

To find :

The perimeter of the triangle

Solution :

An isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two sides of equal length.

Let the sides of triangle be AB, BC and CD where AB and BC are the equal sides.

Now, We know that :

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

12 cm² = 1/2 × 8 × h

12 cm² = 4h

h = 12/4

h = 3 cm

By using Pythagoras theorem :

Hypotenuse² = base² + perpendicular²

=> h² = b² + p²

=> AC² = BC² + AB²

=> AC² = 9 + 16

=> AC = √25

=>AC = 5 cm

Now perimeter of triangle

=> AB + BC + AC

=> 5 + 8 + 5

=> 18 cm
