Let the speed with which the ball was thrown be u
Maximum height attained by the ball =  u^{2} /2g
At half of max height,
Assuming upward direction to be positive,
s =  u^{2} / 4g
a = -10 m/ s^{2}
v = 10 m/s
 v^{2} -  u^{2} = 2as
100 -  u^{2} = 2 (-g)( u^{2} /4g)
 u^{2} = 200
Maximum height = 10 m
I guess it's not only a genius who can solve it !

n2n: it means u r not a genius
n2n: u r ......
VindhyaK: I'm no genius by any means.
n2n: i know what u r
