Glucose : glucose is an aldohexose and is also known as dextrose.

1) glucose reaction with Bromine (Br2)

glucose get oxidised to 6 carbon carboxylic acid on reaction with the oxidizing agent like bromine water.

2) glucose reaction with NaOH

When glucose is reacted with dilute NaOH, it gives a mixture of D-glucose, D-mannose and D-fructose.
