1 . During sunrise and sunset, the rays have to travel a larger part of the atmosphere because they are very close to the horizon. Therefore, light other than red is mostly scattered away. Most of the red light, which is the least scattered, enters our eyes. Hence, the sun and the sky appear red.
2. also this is due to Rayleigh scattering blue and violet radiations are scattered in the large amount so these waves come together and have large wavelength and amplitude therefore appears to be red.
these are two different explanations

Sky appear blue during sunrise and sunset because red light have higher wave length

"The sun appears reddish in the morning time because blue colour has small wavelength so it is scatted by atmosphere particals.During sunrise sun is at the greatest distance so due to scattering of blue colour it does not reach the eye of observer and thus sky appears red."
