Here, Rate = 25/4% = 0.0625
Time = 2years
Principal = 12800
When Sanjay borrowed
Interest = P*R*T
= 12800*0.0625*2
= 1600
Amount he has to pay = Principal + Interest
= 12800 + 1600
= 14400
When Sanjay lended to his guest
Amount = P(1+r/n)^t
= 12800(1+0.0625/1)^2
= 12800 (1.0625)²
= 14450
Profit he earned = 14450 - 14400.
= 50
Thanks!!!

====================================
• Given Principal (P) = 12800 Rs.
• Given Rate (R) = 25/4 %
• Given Time (T) = 2 years.
• Then, Simple interest (S.I) -
= P × R × T /100
= (12800 × 2 × 25/4)/100
= 12800 × 2 × 25/4 × 100
= 128 × 2 × 25/4
= 32 × 2 × 25
= 1600
• Then, amount to be paid by Sanjay
= S.I. + P
= 12800 + 1600
= 14400
• Now, Amount to be paid by the guest to Sanjay -
= P (1 + (R/100))^t
= 12800 × [1 + (25/4)/100]²
= 12800 × [(1 + 25)/400]²
= 12800 × [(400 + 25)/400]²
= 12800 × (425/400)²
= 12800 × (425)² ÷ (400)²
= 2312000000 ÷ 160000
= 14450.
• Clearly, amount paid by Sanjay < Amount gained by Sanjay
Hence, gain
• Gain
= amount paid to him - amount paid by him
= 14450 - 14400
= 50
So, he gains 50 Rs.

Thank you.. ;-)
