in the figure quadrilateral ABCD is a rectangle. Semicircles are draw on AB and CD l(AB) is 7 cm and l(AD) is 10 cm find the area of the figure

The required area, A = Area of quad. ABCD + 2(Area of Semicircle)

Area of quad. ABCD = l × b

                                  = AD × AB = 10 × 7 = 70cm²

Area of Semi Circle = πr²/2

Here Diameter of the semicircle is AB = 7cm

Therefore, radius of the circle is 7/2 cm

So, Area = π (7/2)²(1/2) = 19.24cm²

Therefore, Req. Area = 70 + 2(19.24) = 108.48cm² ≈ 108.5cm²
