Because after death of Aurangzeb there rose a fight for seat between his sons and taking advantages of this situation other kings revolted and established their independent kingdoms which resulted in decline of Mughal Empire

Reasons for the decline of the mughal rules are
1) Lack of interest among the mughal rulers in improving the conditions of the empire.
2) Auranzeb's orthodox hindu policy that created a rift between hindus and muslims
3) Emergence of other kingdoms of india such as sikhs and marathas
4) Financial crisis: Aurangzeb wasted a lot of money in fighting wars and shah jahan also wasted money in consrution of beautiful buildings
