To answer this question we should know what is ligh and what is heat? Light is a part of of the electromagnetic waves or electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic waves are produced whenever charged particles are accelerated, and these waves can subsequently interact with other charged particles. In generally, light is electromagnetic energy that its quanta is called photon. When an object absorbs photon, it converts into kinetic energy or mechanical energy that is caolled "heat".

“That’s why the scientific term for light waves is electromagnetic radiation. Radiation is a way of transferring energy from one place to another”.

“According to thermodynamics laws, heat is a kind of energy and all matter with a temperature greater than absolute zero emits thermal radiation. Thermal radiation is electromagnetic radiation generated by the thermal motion of charged particles in matter”.

A system such as gas is made of molecules or atoms, and atoms are not at static state in system. They are moving or oscillating around each other. Also, atoms are made of charge particles, and they absorb or repel each other. So, they are working on each other continuously. In a system charged particles work on each other and emit electromagnetic energy. So, every system emits heat energy, and intensity of radiation is depending on its temperature. Therefore, the heat itself does not exist and is caused by radiation (or light).
