WHEN a block of wood of mass 2 kg is pushed along a horizontal flat surface of a bench, the force of friction is 4N.When the block is pushed along the bench with a force of 10 N,Find out its acceleration?(constt acceleration)

w.k.t. force =mass×acceleration

4=2×acc.

acc.=2

on force of 10 newton,

10=2×acc.

acc.=5

Mass of the wooden block =2Kg

Frictional force = 4N

Force applied on the block = 10N

To find:

The acceleration of the block.

Solution:

We know F = m × a

Net Force (F) = Force on bloc (F₁) - Frictional force (f)

F = (10 - 4) N

F = 6 N

Therefore,

F = m × a

a = F/m

a = 6/2 m/s²

a = 3 m/s²

Therefore the acceleration of  the moving wooden block is 3 m/s²
