3) cabinet is a small body consisting of 15-20 ministers. it is a part of the council of ministers . it exercises, in practice , the powers of the council of ministers and thus , act for the latter it meets frequently to deliberate and take decisions regarding the transaction of government business.

4) the council is led by the prime minister of india. a smaller executive body called the union cabinet is the supreme decisions making body in india. only the prime minister amd ministers of the rank of cabinet minister are members of the union cabinet in accordance with article 75
