Step-by-step explanation:

given:AB=12 BC=8 BE=5 AE=?

(1) In triangle ABE ,

given that angle ABE is 90° , therefore it is right angle triangle

By applying Pythagoras theorem,

AE^2 =AB^2+BE^2

= 12^2+5^2

= 144+25

= 169

AE =13

(2) angle BEA & angle FEC is corresponding angle. angle BEA=angle FEC

BC = BE = EC.

AB=CF

Therefore Triangle ABE = Triangle FCE
