Given :

The perimeter of rectangle = P = 64 cm

The length of the rectangle = L = 17 cm

To Find :

The breadth of the rectangle

Solution :

Let The breadth of rectangle = B cm

∵ Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + breadth )

Or, P = 2 × ( L + B )

Or, 64 cm = 2 × ( 17 cm + B )

Or, ( 17 cm + B ) = {64}{2}

2

64

i.e ( 17 cm + B ) = 32 cm

Or, B = 32 cm - 17 cm

∴ Breath = B = 15 cm

Hence, The Breadth of the rectangle is 15 cm . Answer

Answer:

breadth =15 cm

Explanation:

perimeter = 2(length+breadth)

64cm =2×17 +2×breadth

64= 34+2breadth

64-34 /2 = breadth

30/2 = breadth

15= breadth

breadth =15 cm
