Hi
Nice question

Answer :-

Earlier situation, when

Blue balls = 6
Red balls = 3

Total number of outcomes = 6 + 3 = 9
Favourable outcomes of getting a blue ball = 6
P(x) = Favourable outcomes/Total outcomes
P( getting a blue ball ) = 6/9 = 2/3

New situation, when

Blue balls = 6
Red balls = 3 + 12 = 15

Total outcomes = 6 + 15 = 22
Favourable outcomes of getting a blue ball = 6
P(x) = Favourable outcomes/Total outcomes
P( getting a blue ball ) = 6/22 = 3/11

Hope this helps you..
