Hey dear may this help you..........

Only the bearer knows where the shoe pinches....this means that only the sufferer knows the true pain of the suffering.....

As we see in the story that Ali who is deeply sad and groaned by the leaving of his only daughter Miriam and there has been no letter from her to Ali, so the father's heart is deeply in pain. Ali visits the post office everyday. People in post office make fun of him and the Post master calls him a pest and shouts at him. No one knows the feeling of the hurt father. However the trouble one day came to the post master. He got to know that his daughter was ill and was eagerly waiting for his letter. In a pile of letters he saw a desired brown cover and thought that the letter must be of his daughter but when he saw it he realised that it was addressed to coachman Ali. Then his anger was turned into a loving father's heart and he came to know what Ali would have felt.............

So "Only the bearer knows where the shoe pinches"

hope it helps n pls mark it as brainliest........

Hey friend,

The phrase :only the bearer knows where the shoe pinches means that nobody can know what pain or turmoil one is going through. Only the one going through it can know how it feels like to be a situation they are in.

According to the story, The Letter, Post office employees used to read Muhammad Ali's letters to mirrium and make fun of those letters. They were filled with pain and sorrow but as the phrase suggests, Only the bearer of pain knows how it feels like. The post office employees did not realise that to what they are laughing, has taken away some ones happiness.

I hope the answer is helpful.

Thanks
