For example,
There is a group of beetles who are green in colour, in a jungle. Birds like beetles to eat but since the beetles are green they stick to the leaves and cannot be easily seen by the birds. Hence, they are a natural selection
Now consider another situation in which these beetles evolves within a span of years and becomes red. Now the beetles could be easily seen by the birds and are readily eaten. So, we can say the new variation in colour is a disadvantage and hence the beetles will not survive
