Difference between asexual and sexual reproduction is that in asexual reproduction only one sex(male or female) is present whereas in sexual reproduction both the sexes must be present..

sexual reproduction :- genetic material from two parents is combined.

asexual reproduction:- offsprings are produced genetically identical to the parent.

Sexually reproducing  species is likely to have better chances of survival, because:-

• In sexually reproducing organisms, natural selection might take place which may give advantage for survival.
• During sexual reproduction, there might be errors in DNA copying. This leads to variations which might promote survival advantage.

1. In asexually reproducing organisms, DNA copying is errorless as they tend to preserve their similarities and offsprings are exact copies of parents.
