To find: Show that angle QOP - angle POR = 1/9 * angle QOR

Solution:

  • Now we have given:

                    angle POR / angle QOP = 4/5

  • Reciprocating it, we get:

                    angle QOP / angle POR = 5/4

  • Now applying componendo and dividendo, we get:

                    angle QOP + angle POR /  angle QOP - angle POR = 5 + 4/5 - 4

                    angle QOP + angle POR /  angle QOP - angle POR = 9/1

                    angle QOR /  angle QOP - angle POR = 9/1

  • Reciprocating it, we get:

                    angle QOP - angle POR / angle QOR = 1/9

                    angle QOP - angle POR = 1/9 x angle QOR

  • Hence proved.
