A movement of growth is intended by the stimuli direction in plant, is called tropism.

The movement of root and shoot systems are in the stimuli direction, while the movement of the open and close of the flowers is not directed in the direction of stimuli, which are called as nastic movements. In contrast to tropical movements, nastic movements are not dependent to stimuli direction but may or may not be due to growth.

Moon flower opens at night time and closes in morning. The opening process and closing process of the flowers is nastic movements and it responses to source of light is called Photonasty.

The opening and closing process of Moon flower is not a tropism. The movement in this flower is called Photonasty.
