Of course, there’s found money — and then there’s found money. Obviously, there is a point where the amount of found cash becomes large enough that not turning it in to the authorities becomes an ethical issue. The question is where do we draw the line?

When I found a 500 rupee note on the street, I kept it. Because there wasn't a wallet to assert the identity of the person who lost it. Also, there was no one around to ask about it.

Do you think it’s unethical to keep a loose hundred-dollar bill if you found it at the corner of a street and decide not to turn it in to the authorities?
