In 2014-15, the state of Andhra Pradesh stood in the eighth position in GSDP or Gross State Domestic Product.
The Godavari and the Krishna are the two important rivers flowing through the state, providing water for its irrigation. Andhra Pradesh is a mineral rich state with the largest limestone deposits in the country and with 60 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in the offshore Krishna Godavari basin. The other minerals found in Andhra Pradesh are copper ore, mica, manganese, coal, barytes, dolomite etc.
