hi mate here is your answer

we know that in a square all sides are equal and that  means the length of diagonol lengths are also equal so

using the distance formulae find the distance between a(5,-4) and b( -3,2)

root(5-(-3))^2+(-4-2)^2

= root(5+3)^2 + (-6)^2

= root(8)^2+(36)

=root (64)+36

= root (100)

=10 units is the diagonal length
