Water sources are drying up fast due to mankind’s irresponsible actions. Drinking water and water for agricultural purpose are scarce, especially during summer.
The least we can do now, is to conserve water during the rainy season, through rainwater harvesting, rejuvenating watersheds and creating reservoirs. Rainwater harvesting helps to replenish the ground water sources, while watersheds help to collect and redirect excess water, to areas that do not get the required supply of water.
The government is looking at ways of linking rivers. It will help to distribute excess water received during rainy season, to drier areas.

During the rainy season there is abundant rainfall. Rain is the purest form of water. The rainwater when it is not stored gets wasted. During the summer season, there is rainfall scarcity. It is nor possible to conserve rain water when the rainfall is scarce.
