Since, it is given that , the length = 40 m
and the breadth = 30 m
By , Pythagoras theorem, we get...
Let, the hypotenuse(diagonal) be x,
30^2 + 40^2 = hypotenuse ^2
=>900 + 1600 = x^2
=>2500 = x^2
=> x = √2500
=> x = 50.

Therefore, the diagonal = 50m
Given, that Hena walked diagonally, therefore, the distance travelled by Hen = 50 m
and,
Distance traveled by Yuvi = 30+40 = 70m

Therefore, Distance travelled by Yuvi is,
70-50 = 20 m more, than Hena.
