Explanation:

u = 72km/h = 72 × 5/18 => 20 m/sec

t = 5 sec, v = 0, m = 1500 kg , f = ?

f = ma

we have to first find the acceleration/deceleration

v = u + at

0 = 20 + a × 5

- 20 = a × 5

therefore a = - 20/5 => - 4 m/sec²

force exerted f = 1500 × - 4 => - 6000 N
