Effect of pressure on absorption of gases on solids :

When temperature is constant and pressure increases , the extent of absorption increases . This is in accordance with Le chatelier principal .

Effect of temperature on absorption of gases on solids :

Absorption is an exothermic process as heat is evoked during absorption . With I crease in temperature , the extent of absorption will decrease . This is in accordance with Le chatelier principal . Desorption is an endothermic process as heat is absorbed during desorption . With increase in temperature , the extent of desorption will increase . this is in accordance with Le chatelier principal .
