Solution :-

→ SP = 55 lakhs

→ Loss = 12%

so,

→ CP = SP * 100 / (100 - loss %) = (55 lakhs * 100) / (100 - 12) = (5500000 * 100) / 88 = 6250000

now,

→ CP = 6250000

→ SP = 7000000

then,

→ Profit = SP - CP = 750000

therefore,

→ Profit % = Profit * 100 / CP = (750000 * 100) / 6250000 = 12% (Ans.)
