First I will mention the procedure of naming a aliphatic organic compound.
1. Check for the functional group
2. Highlight all the side chains and arrange them in the alphabetical order.
3. Write the relevant number with the functional group. Here we can add a prefix if the same functional group is attached to the same C atom. Eg : 2,2-dimethyl....
4. Name the carbon chain by checking the unsaturations (add -an if there are no unsaturations, -en if C-C double bonds are present and -yn for C-C triple bonds)
5. Finalize the name by adding the main functional group.

The highest preference is given to the functional group then the multiple bonds then the side chain

If functional group is present in any organic compound then the longest chain is chosen such that the functional group (if carbon containing) is 1st

If both functional group and multiple bonds are present then the longest chain is chosen such that it contains both functional group and the multiple bond.

If none of the functional group or the multiple bonds are there then simply the longest chain is chosen and named...

Hope it helps.... :-)
