ordinary rubber is an insulator .aircraft tyres are made of special rubber which are lightly conducting.why?

This is because during landing, the tyres of aircraft may get highly charged due to friction between tyres and the air strip. So tyres are made slightly conducting so that they will lose charge to the Earth otherwise too much of static charge may produces Sparks which may result into fire
