the carbon which is attached to 1 propene group, 1 bromine and 1 methyl group is chiral carbon atom. and so shows opticle isomerism. 1 chiral carbon can show 2^n optical isomers where n = no. of chiral carbon atoms in compound. here n=1 so 2^1= 2 optical isomers I.e. 2. stereoisomers
