-Lipids is among the four biological biomolecules, the others being proteins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids.-Lipids are made up of fatty acids and glycerol and are composed of elements carbon, hydrogen , oxygen and they may also contain phosphorus, like in the case of phospholipids which are mainly components of the cell membranes.-Lipids play major roles in the body which includes, energy source, structural compounds, insulation functions, among other functions.
