Answer:

organic waste is biodegradable because it can be converted by the microorganisms presents in soil if we put a organic waste in compost pit and leave it for few weeks it will convert into soil instead of organic waste plastic will take 300 to 500 years to degrade

Answer:

Organic waste is biodegradable. It can be convert into organic manure and useful in cultivation but plastic is a non-biodegradable thing and takes thousands of years to decompose.

We can't melt plastic because it produces dangerous gases (like methane etc.)

Whereas biodegradable waste decompose faster than non-biodegradable waste.

Hope it helps :)
