The organisms which derive nutrients from plants or animals without killing them are called parasites.This mode of nutrition is called parasitic nutrition.lt is the mode of nutrition in which the organism (parasite) take in food from the body of other organism (host) where parasite get benifit and host is badly affected.

On the basis of occurance ,There are two types of parasites:

#Ectoparasites

Parasites present outside the body of host
eg.lice ,ticks

#Endoparasites

Parasites presnt inside the body of host.
eg.tape worm ,hook worm

eg. for plant parasites is cuscatta(amar bel)
