In the Msitu Jungle, which is ruled by a lion called King Garrison, animals lived in harmony. They formed communities, groups, and friendships depending on their needs, interests or security reasons.
Once upon a time the hare and the hyena were friends. They lived together and looked for food together. Although the two were friends, the hyena had a bad habit: He was greedy.
One day, the hare and the hyena found some food. The hyena told the hare to go look for firewood as he watched over their meal. But when the hare came back, the hyena had eaten all the food. He claimed that the vultures had stolen it.
The hare thought for a moment and came up with an idea. He went up to the road and lay on the ground. He knew that the truck from the Msitu Bakery would be passing there soon.
After some time, the truck came. When the driver saw the hare lying on the road, he thought he was ill and so he put him in the back of the truck.
The hare spared no time. He ate as much bread as he could before jumping off the truck.
Meanwhile, the hyena had been watching from a distance. The following day, he lay on the ground, just like the hare. But when the truck driver stopped, he gave the hyena a thorough beating. This is why hyenas don’t eat bread to date.
