it is difficult to walk on wet marble floor because the water on wet marble floor fills the microscopic irregularities and hence present less frictional force.

(i) smooth and polished surface provides less friction.For eg:-polished marble, frozen river.

(ii) Rough and unpolished surface provides too much friction.
