Suppose, A simple pendulum with charge bob is oscillating as shown in the figure. Time period of oscillation is T and angular amplitude is θ. If a uniform magnetic field perpendicular to the plane of oscillation is switched on, then

We know that,

The time period of oscillation is

T=2\pi\sqrt{\dfrac{l}{g}}

The magnetic force is

F=q(v\times B)

Magnetic force is always perpendicular to velocity.

So it will always act in radial direction which will change tension at different points. But, time period and amplitude will never changed.

Hence, The time period and amplitude of oscillation will not change
