Hey dear,

● Answer - (d) ADH
Osmoregulation is carried out by *ADH*.

◆ Extra information -
- Osmoregulation is the process of maintaining salt and water balance across membranes within the body.

- Mechanism of osmoregulation varies according to conditions
1) In hypovolemia, osmolarity of blood is increased which is detected by osmoregulators. ADH secreted by pituitary then acts on kidney & causes retention of water.
2) In hypervolemia, osmolarity of blood is decreased which is detected by osmoregulators. ADH secretion is reduced by pituitary. So then water retention is prohibited and diuresis happens to maintain blood volume.
