DIFFUSION is the movement of SUBSTANCE from it's higher concentration to lower concentration.
OSMOSIS is the movement of WATER from it's higher concentration to lower concentration.
Thus, osmosis is just a special kind of diffusion where movemt of only water molecules takes place.
