Osmosis with Raisins and Apricots
Put dried raisins and apricots in pure water and
leave them for some time. Then place them into a
concentrated solution of sugar or salt. Each gains
water and swells when placed in pure water. But
when such swollen raisins/apricots are placed in the
concentrated solution each of them loses water, and
consequently shrinks again.

Answer:
in salt or sugar solution water concentration is lessee than raisin or apricot so when they are placed in such solution water from the raisin or apricot moves out and they shrink by the process exosmosis
