0.1 M aqueous solution of NaCl has greater osmotic pressure as compared to glucose. As NaCl can be ionized into two ions: Na and Cl. But glucose cannot be ionized into any ions. Osmotic pressure depends upon the number of ions into which molecule dissociates.
For NaCl
NaCl can be dissociated into two ions. So,
C= no. of ions in which molecule dissociates x Molarity
π=CRT
π=2 x 0.1 x 0.08206 L atm/ mol K x 298
π= 4.89 atm
For Glucose
It would be zero in case of glucose as glucose does not dissociate into ions.
