Hey buddy,

● Answer -

M = 67698 g

● Explaination -

# Given -

W = 7 g

M = ?

V = 100 ml = 10^-4 m^3

T = 37°C = 310 K

P = 20 mm Hg = 2.666×10^3 Pa

# Solution -

According to ideal gas eqn -

PV = nRT

2.666×10^3 × 10^-4 = n × 8.314 × 310

n = 0.2666 / (8.314×310)

n = 1.034×10^-4 mol

Molecular mass of protein -

M = W / n

M = 7 / 1.034×10^-4

M = 67698 g

Therefore, molecular mass of given protein is 67698 g.

Hope this helps you...
