Osteoporosis is a disease that is becoming more common now a day because of unhealthy diet and insufficient calcium provided to our bodies. Lack of Phosphorous absorption is the major cause of osteoporosis since bones are weakened in the process. In females, Menopause is the common cause of Osteoporosis as estrogen is no more being produced in sufficient quantities. Other causes may include various endocrine disorders including high levels of Parathyroid hormones causing hyperthyroidism.
