Mangoes are juicy stone fruit (drupe) from numerous species of tropicaltrees belonging to the flowering plantgenus Mangifera, cultivated mostly for their edible fruit. ... Other Mangifera species (e.g. horse mango, Mangifera foetida) are grown on a more localized basis.
